Extended DevOps Reality
If you’ve attended any of my DevOps-related sessions, you may have seen the some of the characters in ‘The Extended DevOps Reality,’ which includes devs and ops (obviously), but also the other critical characters in our story—DBAs, security, the business folks—you know the drill. The point of representing this ‘extended family’ with action and fantasy heroes is simple—while we all have different stereotypes about the ‘other’ groups we have to work with, the truth is that at our core we’re exactly the same. We’d all like a light saber, a magic wand (or lasso), perfect aim with a bow and arrow, or a loyal dragon. We have more similarities than differences, and if we think about it in these terms, we can speak the same language.
